Mud Walls

I just got back from Albuqerque NM, and the Applicator course for American Clay Earth Plaster. This is a really fascinating product, that stands to take the plaster world by storm and send us back a few centuries. And isn't it about time, gypsum plasters and now acrylic plasters are many things but naturally beautiful is not one of them. Plastic, tends to look like plastic for lack of a better description, but clay is a naturally beautiful surface that can be made to look like virtually anything BUT plastic. Clay was the natural choice for walls for century', found in structures built all over the world from the first pueblos of north America to ancient Himalayan Buddhist temples. So, American Clay did not invent Clay Plaster, only a method of manufacturing it consistently. I will be writing more about this products in the week to come. I am all geeked up about the possibilities that the past of building holds for the future of plastering.
